easyBus gears up Stansted service with launch of £1 promo
easyBus already offered the cheapest fares between central London and Stansted Airport, but has just halved its previous lowest fare to just £1 for travel in March. The leading low-cost airport transfer bus and coach brand has just slashed prices on over 30,000 seats to coincide with an increase in frequency. Consumers normally only have access to the off-peak lowest fares if they book well in advance, but easyBus is offering its £1 fare for off-peak travel in March, when the service commences its round-the-clock frequency to every 20 minutes.
easyBus runs a non-stop express service between Stansted Airport and Baker Street in central London on its fleet of modern air-conditioned mini-coaches, decked out in the familiar orange livery. The company is keen to emphasise that you can take advantage of its great prices whoever you fly with. The journey takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes which, combined with the more frequent departures, makes it both fantastic value as well as convenient. easyBus says the idea of using Baker Street/Gloucester Place is to enable travellers to access the London Underground as quickly as possible, without getting caught up in the congested West End.
easyBus CEO, Jonathan Crick commented, "Anyone using Stansted Airport in March can now take advantage of fares that start at just £1, by booking online at easyBus.co.uk before the end of February. But book quickly before they all go! Furthermore, those travelling later in the year using Stansted, Gatwick, or Luton don't have to pay much more, with plenty of seats available from £2 if passengers book more than a month in advance"

Massive 50 pence seat sale at easyBus on central London to airport express coach services
easyBus, London's leading low cost airport transfer bus and coach brand has just launched an unprecedented "50p a seat" promotion. The 50 pence sale runs to midnight on Monday 8th February and is available on all easyBus' off-peak services from March 2010 for travel dates up to October 2010. With over 450,000 seats available in the sale there won't be a better time to buy an airport transfer ticket.
The sale is valid for all-off peak easyBus services between central London and Gatwick, Stansted and Luton airports. Seats even on higher demand services can still be bought at fares from just £2, but easyBus advise that their lowest fares are only available to early bookers.
The 50p easyBus sale is timed perfectly for all London airport flight bookers who are planning or have booked their cheap summer flights.
easyBus CEO, Jonathan Crick commented, "Although consumers are used to buying flights early to benefit from the lowest fares, we find that travellers often leave planning for the journey to the airport until much later. This means they miss out on the best deals. This promotion is aimed at highlighting the massive price advantage to those who plan ahead on their airport transfer".
easyBus also recently announced that it had opened up its Summer schedules to ensure all its services are available for flight bookers planning their Summer trips abroad. The company highlighted the fact that it is the only direct means of transport to and from Gatwick Airport's North Terminal, connecting via a non-stop service to London.

Recent Press Release, September 2009
easyBus to the rescue at Gatwick North Terminal
Low-cost airport transfer coach operator, easyBus, will be the only direct public transport link from Gatwick's North Terminal to London for a period of over seven months, commencing September 2009, when the airport's terminal transfer transit is taken out of service for a major overhaul lasting well into the summer of 2010.
Passengers who might otherwise have used the rail service to London, which operates from the South Terminal building, can enjoy a massive fare saving too, if they take advantage of easyBus' lowest online fare of £2, available to early bookers - a saving of nearly £15 on the rail fare. BAA Gatwick are quoting connecting times of 20 minutes for the replacement bus service to the South Terminal, so there is no real time disadvantage to passengers opting to take the easyBus instead of the so-called express rail option. Journeys can take less than an hour to London, though slightly longer times can be expected during busier periods.
The new inter-terminal transit system at Gatwick Airport is being installed as part of the airport's £1 billion investment programme. From 28 September 2009 until May 2010, a replacement bus service will operate between Gatwick's North and South Terminals. The service will run every three minutes during the day (04.00 to 18.00) and every six minutes at night. South Terminal passengers still wishing to take advantage of the cheaper easyBus fares can still do so by taking the airport's bus shuttle to the North Terminal. BAA advise passengers to allow 20 minutes to transfer between terminals during this period.
Jonathan Crick, easyBus CEO, "Time is money, why waste it? Also, why pay over £30 or more to get into London and back by train. Booking an easyBus return trip from £4 online before flying will get you a guaranteed seat on one of our air-conditioned coaches."
Tickets can also be purchased from the easyBus ticket desk located conveniently right at Gatwick North arrivals or, if travelling to the airport from London, from the easyBus driver at their Fulham Broadway terminus. easyBus have recently revamped online booking service and one of the quickest and simplest online booking processes takes about two minutes to complete. The best fares are available to early bookers and if your flight gets in late, you can hop on the next service with available seats. Services operate up to every 20 minutes from the stop which is just seconds from the arrivals hall in the North Terminal.
easyBus also offers airport transfers between London Victoria and both London Stansted and London Luton airports, with online fares also starting at just £2.
Other information about the BAA Gatwick transit replacement:
In advance of the Gatwick transit being taken out of service, a number of trials will take place during September. Therefore on the following dates all terminal transfers at Gatwick will be by bus:
* Saturday 12 September 0400 to 1600
* Sunday 13 September 0400 to 1600
* Tuesday 15 September - closed all day. Re-opens Wednesday 16 September 0400
* Thursday 17 September - closed all day. Re-opens Friday 17 September 0400
* Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September - closed. Re-opens Monday 21 September 0400
* Tuesday 22 September to Thursday 24 September - closed. Re-opens Friday 25 September 0400.
From Monday 28 September, the transit will be fully closed until May 2010 when the first of the new shuttles comes into service, followed by the second at the end of July. The new shuttle service will be fully operational at the beginning of August 2010.

Two million trips to London's airports on easyBus
easyBus has just carried its two millionth passenger, a creditable achievement for the fledgling airport transfer operator. London based easyBus, which operates a low-cost express transfer service between central London and Stansted, Luton and Gatwick airports, has reached this milestone by achieving an impressive 25% growth in revenues over the previous year. More than half of easyBus' customers have used the service for the first time this year.
The trend has been helped by consumers trading down in the current recession from high-priced rail companies, who typically charge over £16 for a one way journey, compared to easyBus' starting price of just £2.
easyBus CEO, Jonathan Crick, said, "Both UK and EU travellers are used to shopping around for cheap flights to Gatwick, Stansted and London Luton and are not happy to blow their savings on an expensive train ticket or taxi fare. We see this as a long term shift in the way consumers buy their trip to and from the airport well into the future".
easyBus has updated its striking orange bus livery, to add the message "whoever you fly with", just to remind consumers that they don't have to fly with sister-brand easyJet to take advantage of the fantastic value available on easyBus. Booking couldn't be simpler, with easyBus' recently revamped online booking service now offering an even faster booking process. The best fares are available to early bookers and the whole process can be completed in just a couple of minutes.
Two million travellers can't be wrong! Book your low cost airport transfer now.
